                                                                            Staying Focused

The Academic Success Proposal assignment was a pivotal part of my learning experience, especially as it related to my struggles with math. In this project, I focused on strategies to improve academic performance specifically for students facing challenges in math courses. My intended audience included educators and academic advisors, which required me to present my ideas clearly and persuasively.

As I began the assignment, I conducted thorough research to support my recommendations, gathering evidence from credible sources that discussed effective study techniques, time management skills, and the importance of seeking help in math. This process not only improved my research skills but also taught me how to synthesize information from various sources into a cohesive argument.

Writing the proposal challenged me to think critically about the factors that contribute to success in math. I had to consider different student perspectives and the barriers they might encounter, deepening my understanding of the unique challenges in math education. Additionally, I learned how to structure my writing effectively to ensure that my points were logical and well-supported.

The feedback I received from my peers and instructor allowed me to refine my proposal, enhancing its clarity and impact. This collaborative aspect of the assignment underscored the value of constructive criticism in the writing process.

Overall, the Academic Success Proposal assignment not only strengthened my writing and analytical skills but also provided valuable insights into what influences success in math. It reinforced my commitment to academic achievement and highlighted the importance of resourcefulness and resilience in overcoming challenges in this subject.
